The Soprano Titanium is the latest in laser hair removal technology as it combines the three most effective laser wavelengths into a single applicator. This means that the laser will damage the hair at three different depths of the follicle simultaneously.

The Soprano Titanium also has an incredible Quattro handpiece. This is the largest applicator head than other device, meaning the time it takes to treat a patient is reduced by up to 40%.

Treatment is also virtually pain-free due to the revolutionary ICE PLUS system, which cools the skin while the device disrupts the follicles. This machine, unlike many other laser hair removal options, can be used all year round on all skin types, from 1-6, and can even be safely and effectively employed to remove hair on tanned skin.

We usually advise that 6 to 8 treatment sessions are needed to provide a permanent reduction of hair growth. This is because at any given time some of the follicles in the treatment area won’t be in the growth phase. We spread our treatments out to make sure that hair that is treated in one session is affected in the next. Facial hair tends to be more stubborn and may need 10 to 12 treatment sessions or occasionally more in very resistant cases.

The gap between sessions is usually 4-6 weeks for facial areas and 6-8 weeks for body areas. The number of hair removal sessions depends on various factors, including where the hair is, how thick it is and your skin type and hair colour. For the best results we recommend that you complete the full course of treatment sessions. Our laser practitioners can answer all your questions and offer support. The Soprano Titanium laser destroys hair simultaneously at different depths within the hair follicle, but it does not always fall out right away, in fact, treated hair can be slow to expel. You can usually encourage this with gentle exfoliation. The hair will shed naturally in 2 – 3 weeks post treatment.

The Soprano Titanium is the only FDA approved laser on the market that can be used on ALL skin types, from 1-6, and can even be safely and effectively employed to remove hair on tanned skin.

Soprano Titanium uses the SHR method, which is the only clinically proven method of laser hair removal that is virtually painless. The unique heating and energy delivery method effectively damages the hair follicle while preventing injury and pain to the surrounding tissue. At the same time, it is integrated with ICE Plus cold sapphire tip – an advanced technology that continuously cools skin and facilitates range-controlled temperature throughout the entire treatment.

Shaving is the preferred method of removing hairs before and in between the treatments. You must refrain from waxing or plucking the hairs as these methods will remove hairs at their root level, causing the active hairs not to be present for the laser to act on them, making the treatment ineffective.

Apart from shaving, avoid any other hair removal method such as waxing, threading or hair removal creams for 6 weeks prior to treatment and throughout your course. Avoid sunbeds or any kind of fake tan for 2 weeks and normal sun exposure for 1 week prior to treatment. You should shave areas to be treated or patch tested around 8 hours before your visit, areas should be smooth and stubble free for treatment. Medications that may cause photosensitivity (an increased sensitivity to light and heat) may prevent us from treating you.

Normally the skin will feel slightly warm and red after the treatment, but this normally disappears within minutes or a few hours. Follow these post care tips to ensure maximum comfort after your treatment:

1. Avoid sun exposure:

You must not expose the treated skin to UV or self-tan (sun beds) for at least 4 weeks before or after treatment. If your skin gets a tan (active tan) then you are at greater risk of developing hyper pigmentation or getting a burn.

2. Use a soothing gel:

You must protect your skin from the sun – if it’s an area that is exposed like your face/arms/neck then make sure you use a high SPF cream every day to avoid getting a tan (around SPF 30 and above). Simple soothing products like Aloe Vera gel can be used if your skin is feeling slightly sore. The gel will help to calm down any redness you may experience from the laser.

3. Avoid harsh chemicals:

This means no bleach or perfumed products such as aromatherapy oils for at least 24 – 48 hours on the area treated. Also avoid swimming in chlorinated water for 48 – 72 hours.

4. Do not wax, thread or pluck the area treated:

You may shave or in between treatments. It is advisable to leave the area alone for 24 – 48 hours after your treatment to avoid any skin irritation.

5. Avoid a hot bath/shower:

If you have had laser hair removal done on your body, then it is best to avoid having a hot bath or shower (sauna/steam) for 24 -48 hours as it can cause skin irritation especially if you have sensitive skin.

6. Avoid exfoliating:

If you have had laser hair removal on your face then you must avoid having harsh treatments done such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion for at least 14 days before or after treatment.

7. Talk to your practitioner:
